Purchase Eligibility

Tech Hub offers a wide variety of technology products. We sell Apple and Dell computers, software, peripherals, accessories, and supplies to the university community. Most computers, tablets, and software we sell have exclusive academic discounts, which are offered exclusively to OSU Students, Faculty, Staff, and Departments. Eligible customers for academically-priced items must have a valid BuckID, or OSU Med Center ID, and must have an active "name.number" login that will authorize through OSU's Shibboleth single sign-on web authentication service. Departmental customers that have access to the Workday system will also be able to submit an eRequest to Tech Hub for needed items. Items that do not have exclusive academic discounts, such as most accessories and peripherals, are available to any customer.

Return Policy

  • Computers and tablets may only be exchanged, or returned for refund with your original sales receipt within 7 days of purchase if it is in "like new" condition. If the item is not in "like-new" condition, Tech Hub reserves the right to decline the return. If the product is returned in "like-new"condition, but the retail package has been opened, Tech Hub will refund 85% of the original purchase price. If the original retail package has not be opened we will refund the original purchase price in full. If any promotional item(s) were included for free or at a discount with original purchase, said promotional item(s) will be non-refundable, and the amount refunded will be the original purchase price less the value of the promotional item(s).
  • Merchandise, except computers, tablets, and software may be exchanged or returned for refund with your original sales receipt within 30 days of  purchase only if the item is in "like-new" condition. If the item is not in "like-new" condition, Tech Hub reserves the right to decline the return. If the product is returned in "like-new" condition, but the retail package has been opened, Tech Hub will refund 85% of the original purchase price. If any promotional item(s) were included for free or at a discount with original purchase, said promotional item(s) will be non-refundable, and the amount refunded will be the original purchase price less the value of the promotional item(s).
  • "Like-new" means the product must include the original retail packaging along with all original equipment, warranties, manuals, and accessories. The product, and included items must not have any scratches, dents, or other blemishes, and the retail packaging must be intact.
  • Defective items can be exchanged for identical product within 30 days of purchase. Beyond 30 days, defective items will go through the warranty claims process.
  • iPods, MP3 players, headsets, headphones, ear buds, and any product that contains the previous listed listening devices may only be exchanged or returned for refund with your original sales receipt if unopened. Defective merchandise may only be exchanged for the identical product within 30 days of purchase. 
  • Software is not returnable unless product is defective, in which case, the item may only be exchanged for identical product. Electronically delivered software, and license keys are non-refundable.
  • Special buys including custom orders, bulk items (2 or more of same device or accessory), online service offerings, shipping charges, and clearance items are non-refundable.
  • Repair service parts, and warranty pass-through charges are non-refundable.
  • Refunds are based on your original method of payment, except that a check will be processed and issued within 14 business days in lieu of cash refunds of more than $100.
  • For information on returns of gift purchases please inquire with a Tech Hub associate prior to the original purchase. All gift returns will require a gift receipt.

Payment

Tech Hub accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard, VISA, BuckID, cash, and eRequest. We do not accept checks.

Phone Orders and Shipping

Tech Hub accepts phone orders, and ships to a valid street address, located in the US. Items shipped from the Tech Hub store location may incur shipping charges, and are shipped via UPS, or USPS. All items will carry appropriate insurance values. Apple items ordered from Tech Hub for delivery are drop-shipped from Apple via the carrier of Apple's choosing.
