Purchasing Apple Apps and EndNote Software

  1. Most software that is available from the University is distributed by the IT Help Desk. You can see their list of site-licensed software on their website and submit any questions about that software to them directly.

  2. EndNote, the citation and bibliography software, is the only desktop software that is, at this point, distributed by Tech Hub. It can be purchased for $129 and can be requested via a Workday Requisition (see our guide for purchasing via Workday). See the below section for further details.

  3. Applications for University-owned Apple devices are purchasable through Tech Hub if those devices are enrolled in Apple School Manager (ASM). Those apps can be ordered via Workday the same way that other goods are ordered (again, see our guide for Workday purchasing). To manage those applications, there must be an IT Manager that has access to Apple School Manager. If you do not know who in your department has that access, or you need to request access, send an email to cio-endpointmgt@osu.edu

  4. Key notes: in-app purchases cannot be processed with ASM. If the app you want requires an in-app purchase to unlock all features, we cannot process that transaction. For pricing on apps, please see the ASM site or the app store on your device. Once you have selected the apps you want, we can send you a quote to be uploaded to Workday for the approval process. If you have questions, email us at techhuborders@osu.edu.
