Grant Info Session and Collaborator Networking Night

Do you have a tech-related project idea that could use additional support to make it a reality? Whether you’re looking to create an app, art installation or event, our student project grants are a great opportunity to fund your idea and bring it to life. We we know that a great project is more than just a good idea; it’s the right guidance, partners and support. That’s why we’re hosting our 2017 grant info session and collaborator networking night.

Visit Tech Hub Wednesday, September 13 from 6 to 7 p.m. to learn about past projects that received funding, ask questions about the process and meet others interested in collaborating. Whether you have an idea and need additional skillsets to make it happen or just want to get involved in a project this is a great opportunity.

Two of our past grant award winners, Physics is Beautiful and Space Launch Simulation System, will give brief presentations about their projects and answer any questions you may have about applying for the grant, making a project like theirs or building a team.

The second half of the event will be time to network, grab snacks and talk with other attendees. We will have nametags where participants can indicate if they have a specific goal for the session, such a finding a coder or joining a project. That being said, we encourage people to come to learn about the grants process even if they have a fully formed team. Meeting other makers is never a bad thing!

The event is casual and we will provide light refreshments. If you’re interested in attending please RSVP to receive additional event details.
