New features coming to MacBook Pro

At their October 27 event Apple® dropped quite a few big announcements, the largest of which was MacBook Pro®.

We’ve taken a look at the updates and given you a quick overview of the changes coming to the MacBook Pro lineup in store.

Speed and Battery

MacBook Pro also features a ten-hour battery life, 130% faster graphics, and up to 3.8GHz of processing. This means you can do lightning speed work for longer. Whether that means editing a video for class in Final Cut Pro® or gaming with your roommate.

Speakers

The speakers speak for themselves. The volume, bass and range have all been boosted in the new MacBook Pro. Meaning more dance parties, more often.

Keyboard and Trackpad

The keyboard has been redesigned to include a new, second-generation butterfly mechanism which brings greater comfort and responsiveness. The force touch trackpad is significantly larger, giving your fingers more room to gesture and click. Sometimes more is more.

Thunderbolt 3 Connections

MacBook Pro features up to four Thunderbolt 3 ports. These can support up to two 5k displays and with identical ports on each side you will never wonder where to connect your changer.

The 13” model is available in store now.

Touch Bar™

Arguably the most important changes coming to the MacBook lineup is the inception of TouchBar. This Multi-Touch™–enabled strip of glass built into the keyboard gives you instant access to specialized function keys that change depending on what you’re doing.  This replaces your normal set of function keys and also allows you to log into your MacBook Pro with Touch ID®. This feature is available in both 13” and 15” models that ship from Apple in approximately three weeks.

These features are only the tip of the iceberg. Check out the full tech specs for the 13” MacBook Pro, and 13”/15” MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. Visit in store or give us a call and we can answer any questions you may have about the release.
