Diane Dagefoerde has nearly twenty years experience utilizing technology as a catalyst to enhance the Ohio State community. As the deputy Chief Information Officer, she manages the people and ideas that drive the tech achievements at Ohio State.
We had a chance to speak with Dagefoerde about how she began her career, what you can do to get involved in technology at Ohio State, and why she is passionate about her career.
Polina Brodsky is the energy storage lead for Ohio State’s student motorcycle team, Buckeye Current (link is external) . We had a chance to talk to Brodsky about what got her into engineering and advice she may have for other young women looking to take the same path.
Can you describe what you do for the team?
I am the team’s energy storage lead. I work on designing and building the team’s battery pack, which stores the bike’s energy and provides DC current to the rest of the components in vehicle’s powertrain.
Are you interested in green technologies? Do you want to design, build, and race a world-class electric motorcycle? Buckeye Current (link is external) , Ohio State’s student motorcycle team, does all this and more in their efforts to develop a fast, efficient electric motorcycle.
